THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ADC

After a meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in May 2022 on the occasion of the commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the African Union African Diaspora Declaration a Global Pan African Roots Synergy Roundtable was supported by interested Pan Africanists, Activists, Scientists and Scholars and brought together delegates from interested Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from the Global African World together. The Roundtable was endorsed by CIDO & ECOSOCC leadership of which there were intimate discussions with CIDO and ECOSOCC and the realization of the plight of the African American inclusion in the African Union was apparent after the 10 years since the creation of the 6th Region of Africa (the African Diaspora).

Upon conclusion of that meeting several individuals came together to begin to create the infrastructure for the social, political, and economic requirements of the Amendment to the Constitutive Act that guide the 6th Region organization, the UN solutions to the International Decade of People of African Descent, to find solutions to the UNSDG's that involved the African Diaspora, and how we could capitalize on our existing global networks.

After realizing the depth of the geographical area that African descendants occupy around the globe, the African Diaspora Collective was born and launched September 28, 2022 during the Congressional Black Caucus Weekend at the Lincoln Memorial steps at the site of the infamous late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "I have a Dream" Speech.

Taking pages from the lessons of the past, listening to the elders of some of the Pan African groups, the infrastructure of the UN and the AU as well as the AfCFTA and the decades of experience from our collective networks in Government, Politics, Business, International Relations, Foreign Affairs and Security and Humanitarian activities the 4 African Diaspora Collective Ambassadors became the foundation of the ADC.

Each Ambassador has 3 focus areas that solve one of the issues mentioned above as it relates to those of African descent from the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and those born Africans that are now part of the Diaspora and how best to develop Africa for the next generation of leaders and the Africa we want to see.

The AFRICAN DIASPORA COLLECTIVE is a 501 c-3, non-governmental organization with the sister company registered in Ghana, West Africa - the African Diaspora Collective Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCCI) headquartered in Ghana, West Africa. Comprised of 4 Ambassadors around the world as part of the Global African Diaspora 6th Region Organization forming what is the African Diaspora Collective. Young African professionals from around the world collected themselves in a group of other global thought leaders to work on solutions to the Africa we want to see for the next generation! We focus on the AU Agenda 2063, the development of Africa, UNSDG's, the social and economic impact on the continent and the cultural connection to Africa that we have as those of AFRICAN descent, creating the COLLECTIVE....

The AFRICAN DIASPORA COLLECTIVE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY (ADCCCI) was established as the only African Diaspora Chamber of Commerce & Industry NGO focused on the Historical Unique Diaspora H.U.G. population living on the continent of Africa, and for those African Diaspora that wish to return for development. As an African registered organization we have a unique on ground experience in business that can assist the expat community or those that want to invest from abroad in our small dollar investment projects, or that have a CSR or DEI component your company is trying to achieve, or if there is a spiritual connectivity you would like  to have on the continent and need assistance on exploring different African countries, the ADCCCI provides those services.

The AFRICAN WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE ALLIANCE (AWIAA) was originally founded in 2021 in Accra, Ghana for African Women in Agriculture in Africa. With over 20 years of agriculture experience in the United States the founder faced difficulty in entering the agribusiness market in Ghana so she started this organization for empowerment of other women farmers. The organization stalled and spent 2 years on ground in Ghana to regroup and assess the needs of local farmers. Now in 2024, AWIAA is ready for a re-launch and to celebrate it's founding members. You can join AWIAA here.
