2023 African Women's Empowerment Summit Ghana

October 30 - November 5, 2023

What an AMAZING Event! 6 days, 9 events, 15 volunteers, 10 countries attended, 200 women from across the Diaspora and Africa all for Women's Empowerment on the Continent! We can't wait to have you in our Sister Circle next year!

Here is a little about the 2023 AWES, just in case you missed it...

The 2023 African Women’s Empowerment Summit (AWES) is the evolution of the former Women’s Empowerment Sunday Brunch by DL Johnson Consulting Agency. For four years prior to COVID-19 the Women’s Empowerment Sunday Brunch was held in Washington, D.C. to celebrate women in business and running for political office from across the United States. In 2020 the hybrid event took place as scheduled however, the organizer moved to Ghana to expand her business and the unpredictability of the global pandemic halted the 2021 event. Therefore, in 2023 we are transforming the Women’s Empowerment Sunday Brunch that would have been in its 5th year, to the African Women’s Empowerment Summit for 2023 in Accra, Ghana!

This transformed event will be the template for implementation and action for women all across Africa to build capacity and connectivity to other successful African women. This event combines over 150 years of expertise and thousands of African women from Africa and the diaspora. These 7 days are filled with activities for relaxation, restoration, and relationship building for our Global African Women  to highlight the opportunities for connectivity of culture, business, and sisterhood.
